Nothing pushy or demanding at all and instead was very relaxed. Since its across the street from the famous San Miguel Marketplace, I expected more tourist trap vibes but was pleased with the low key interactions from everyone. It was a ton of fun being there and while I only intended to stop briefly for a sangria and mushrooms,( highly recommend both!) I ended up staying for a few hours because of how welcoming they were and how pleasant the whole restaurant was to be in.

They all helped me practice some Spanish and let me know they appreciated getting the chance to practice some english. I loved getting to sit down for a bit and talk with the different bartenders greeter, server, and even sing along with the piano player. The price was a bit lower than equivalent places in Munich, so I thought it was ok for what you get (approx 240 with wine pairing).Ī worthy experience for gastronomy lovers, “likers” or enthusiasts. The service was otherwise excellent, refilling my beverages at appropriate times and stopping by to chat occasionally and ensure I was having a good time. You can’t expect me to drink like 7 glasses of wine that fast, come on guys 😂😂 I ended up getting tipsy. One thing that kind of displeased me, and was different from other Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve been to, is that the interval between dishes and especially wine glasses was kinda small.

Tasteful combinations of flavor and texture, better appreciated by chewing slowly and with closed eyes. The food is beautifully presented, and although the menu is brief and there isn’t in-depth explanation of dishes like in similar places I’ve been to, the food speaks for itself. It’s like they expect you to be clumsy and are adequately prepared. Instantly someone brought more napkins, a towel and some hot soda solution to help me clean my clothes. While eating the very first appetizer, I spilled some food all over my pants (it was these little olive thingies that exploded as soon as you touched them, and I grabbed one the wrong way). The place was empty when I got there (8 pm, apparently Spaniards enjoy later dinners), which made me feel weirdly observed as I ate 😂

You of course don’t have to touch any doors or buttons, someone will do that for you after they take your coat downstairs. You then get in a tiny elevator which lifts you to the restaurant itself. The restaurant is located inside the Casino de Madrid building, which is fascinatingly fancy. It’s always a bit difficult to describe experiences like these and fit them within a 5-star system, because it lacks depth. So I guess the problem is in the service. (Kitchen was in open space and it was very clean). I really understand that maybe they wanted to close (we are from the last customers) but in a restaurant who would like to serve set menu and it is Michelin recommended it is not good that your guest feels unwanted. Secondly the service was problematic because she was always in a harry and everything moved very quick. I call the assistant boy to clean which again clean it with a dirty towel! In general it is a very well comfort food restaurant with modern and creative kitchen.įor me the main problem is that because they are in harry to close they were really careless.Īfter we finish our dinner and we are waiting desert the table was really dirty and the waitress saw it but she is not feeling that it is problem ☹️ and leave it as it was dirty!!!! The “attraction” dish was Pork Head (it’s for 4 persons) which was salty and crunchy as should be but it’s was totally fatty so except of the surprise it is not something that you want to eat more than a 1 or 2 bites. There are 3set menus at the restaurant starts with 42€ (4dishes), 55€ (5dishes) and 75 € the whole set menu.
#QUICKLY ASIAN FUSION CAFE MENU FULL#
Don't plan for much afterwards, as you'll leave full and likely tipsy. They have pretty good stuff, which is to be expected I guess. The wine menu is comprehensive, and to be fair, on the expensive side. It's the first time this has happened to me, having visited quite a few fancy restaurants. As an anecdote, they realized that I'm left handed and offered to serve me the wine and put the cutlery on my left side. Pretty nice location, excellently located in Madrid. I don't think you can compare it to any other place I've been. It's the most unique high-end restaurant we've visited in Spain. The 3 fish "sides" we got were otherwordly. There's a mixture of show and finish, but without compromising the flavors. It draws a heavy inspiration from different Asian cuisines. The flavors are very unique and creative. But that couldn't be further from the truth. You might think that all the hype, all the TV-shows, publicity, and so on might obscure the important part, which is the food.
